SETUP QUESTIONS
".NET Error: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine"
The Access Driver required by E2S is missing on your machine.
Download and install the Microsoft driver: <<Download Microsoft Access Database Engine Driver>>
"Cannot open SETUP.DTA" - showing in the Company Control Tab of the E2S Connector
Your Sage data is held on another machine and E2S cannot find the Sage Company names held in the local registry.
In version 2020.09.1 onwards, E2S will look for Sage company locations whenever the Company tab is opened.
To amend manually, enable the "Update Companies Manually" option in Configuration, Save Configuration and
then the company name field will be available to edit in the Company tab. Save all Changes when complete.
"Error connecting to Sage - Invalid or incorrect username or password"
The username\password being used in the E2S Connector has not been setup in Sage
Our default user is connector with a password of p@ssw0rd
If you wish to use a different user, ensure name and password match in Sage and E2S
How to prevent UAC requiring Admin password for users of E2S
Go to C:\Excel2SageConnector
Right click and select Properties\Security
Edit and select Users (or named user profile if required) and tick Allow Full control, then Apply, then OK.
The desktop shortcuts created during installation will need to be recreated if required.
"Sage Data Objects not registered"
In Sage go to Tools > Activation > Enable Third Party Integration and use the activation keys below

UPGRADE QUESTIONS
Will E2S still work if I upgrade my Sage version?
Select new Sage version in E2S Configuration tab, and refresh Company Control tab.
If your new version is not available in E2S Configuration, you will need to download the latest version of E2S from www.red-it.co.uk/upgrade
If you upgrade your E2S version - please check for new features and fields

If you are using E2S Automation, your mapping files may require amendment when upgrading.
My PC has died and my E2S license key doesn't work on the new PC?
E2S Software licences are tied to a single machine name.
Please purchase a licence transfer from our Online Shop and we will help you reconfigure if needed.
DATA QUESTIONS
Error connecting to Sage - Username is already in use
Our default user is connector with a password of p@ssw0rd
You may get this message if E2S failed to log out when last used.
Check in Sage in the “User List” to see the active users, and remove connector.
Alternatively, log in and out of Sage as the user connector to clear the session.
Error connecting to Sage - Program is in exclusive mode. Logon cannot proceed
Sage is busy doing a backup - once completed E2S will be able to connect as normal.
Error connecting to Sage - data files are wrong version
Please have a look at the help information on Changing your Sage Version to resolve this.
Error getting data from Excel - Numeric Format
The data in the field is in the wrong format, the most common is the InvRef field. If you have only entered a number in this field, MS Excel will have formatted the field into a Number format. Prefix the first number with an apostrophe ' and the data will then be recognised and loaded.
Alternatively, an alpha-numeric reference for the InvRef field to prevent MS Excel from auto-formatting the field as number.

Error obtaining record count zero returned
In Journals, this will be shown when the NomCode field is not in the expected format. If you do not wish to use the look-up functionality, please prefix the first NomCode number with an apostrophe '.
Error getting balance check for ref : xxx'xx
In Journals, this will be shown where the Ref field is not in the expected format. Please ensure that the reference is a Alpha-Numeric, or prefixed with an apostrophe ', but does not contain an apostrophe as part of the reference.
